SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

SC Post Matric Scholarship 2022 is a centrally sponsored scheme that has been started by the Central Government and is implemented through state government administration and union territories administration. Under this scheme financial assistance to scheduled caste students is provided at the post-matric level so that they can continue with their education without facing any financial hurdles. It must be noted that the scheme is available for getting education only in India. This scheme is awarded by the Government of the state where the applicant permanently resides. The total number of slots under this scheme is 4200. Under this scheme, SC students pursuing studies beyond 12th class will be given scholarships.

The main objective of SC Post Matric Scholarship 2022 is to provide scholarships to all those students who belong to a scheduled caste and are not able to finance their education due to their financial condition. By the successful implementation of the scheme, all the students of scheduled caste will get financial assistance. Every student will get their basic right to education. Under this scheme, SC students pursuing education beyond class 12th will be considered. All the institutions that are notified by the Ministry Of Social justice and empowerment will be covered under this scheme.

Pre-Matric Scholarship (class IX and X) for SC Students

Objectives of the scheme are:

To support parents of SC children for education of their wards studying in classes IX and X so that the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage is minimized, and

To improve participation of SC children in classes IX and X of the pre-matric stage, so that they perform better and have a better chance of progressing to the post-matric stage of education.

Conditions of Eligibility

Student should belong to Scheduled Caste

Her/his Parents’/Guardian’s income should not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh per annum.

She / he should not be getting any other Centrally-funded Pre-Matric Scholarship.

She/ he should be a regular, full time student studying in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.

Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, she / he would not get scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.

NOTE : Income certificate is required to be taken once only i.e. at the time of admission to courses which are continuing for more than one year.

Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC Students(PMS-OBC)

Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC, Government of Delhi invites applications for Pre and Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students, Delhi 2018 from students studying in Class 1 to postgraduation. The objective of the scholarship is to award scholarships to students of poorer OBC parents whose parental income is below double the poverty line.
Eligibility

For Pre-Matric student must be studying in class 1 to 10

For Post-Matric student must be studying in class 11 to PG

A student must belong to OBC community.

A student must be domicile of Delhi.

Family annual income for pre-matric should not exceed INR 2.5 lac

Family annual income should not exceed INR 1 lac for students pursuing PG courses.

A student must not be receiving any other scholarship.

Copy of Mark sheet

Certificate related to OBC Category

Copy of Pass-Book / E-Statement of the student bank account.

Aadhar Card Details.

Copy of valid annual family income certificate.

All previous mark sheets/certificate from concerned University/institution of the current programme.
